Getting Started With Communications

As of October 2001, FastTrack supports only Internet based communications. You can start communications in several ways.

From FastTrack for the Web

1. Click on the communicate tab, then Connect.
2. Choose the Link: FTP or DOS communication.
3. Choose what you want to do.
4. Click on Connect.

From the Start Button

Click Start, then FastTrack, then FT Comm 2.

This display the same dialog box as discussed above for FastTrack for the Web.

Use this method when FastTrack for the Web is not already running. FTCOMM 2 starts up instantly without the long loading period of FastTrack for the Web.

Internet Access using FTCOMM 2

Requirements:

• You must have internet access through an Internet Service Provider.
       i.e. AT&T World Net or one of the thousands of local ISP's.
• OR You must use a 32-bit version of America Online.
• OR You must use Prodigy Internet,
• Or You must use a recent version of CompuServe.

If you DO NOT have FT COMM 2

The FT Comm 2 program is a free download available on our website

• Free Trial Users

• Click on any of the Free Trial links or the Downloads menu link
• Fill out the Free Trial request form
• Follow the directions on the screen
• Select the type of download suitable for your Internet connection
• Remember to restart your computer after the installation completes
• Check your Email Inbox for your Account Number and Password

• Current Subscribers

• Click on the Subscribers menu link
• click the download link in the first sentence
• Choose OPEN or RUN to install from the web site
• Follow the directions on the screen
• Remember to restart your computer after the installation completes
